August 2, 2008 Campsis radicans.
This trumpet vine has taken over the front corner of my back yard and is now creeping over onto the other side of the fence. This bloom is just outside of my bedroom window. It caught my eye this evening as the sun waited in the west sky delivering a most magnificent light onto these flowers.
